Project Profound — research infrastructure for 14,000+ testimonies

Project Profound's mission is to study first-person accounts of profound experiences at academic standards — and to show that patterns across thousands of testimonies point toward consciousness being fundamental. Doing that by hand is impossible: new videos are published constantly, and each needs screening, analysis, and scoring.

An automated system that finds newly published testimony videos, screens them for viability, scores their content against academic standards, and adds them to a research database — with global search, sort, and visualization across the entire collection. All of it free to the public.

A $100k, six-month project funded by individual and corporate donations, with Awetomatic donating services. The platform now holds 14,000+ analyzed testimonies at projectprofound.org.
